Videomaker - How To: Fix Green Screen Problems

0
0
Segments include:

Rough and Discolored Edges
Green Screen work is complex, even under ideal circumstances, and working with footage that hasn't been lit or shot properly can be pretty tough. In this segment, we show you how to fix those rough and discolored edges that are often left after pulling an initial key.

Unwanted Green and Spill
When you're shooting footage next to a gigantic green wall, it's not unusual to have some of that green unintentionally fall on your subject. In this segment we show you how to remove the green spill using keylight, spill suppressor, and curves in Adobe's After Effects, Ultra Key and the three-way color corrector in Premiere Pro.

Subject Doesn't Match the Background
After the time-consuming process of pulling a good key is finally complete, placing your subject in the scene can sometimes seem like an afterthought. In this segment we talk about positioning your subject in the shot, color correcting your subject to match the background, creating a lightwrap to blend your subject into the background more naturally, and how to deal with mismatched lighting.

Source Footage has a Camera Move
"Green Screen shots with camera movement with the background and foreground in perfect sync helps sell the scene. In this segment, we show you how to track motion in your shot, sync your background with your footage, stabilize shaky footage, and manually keyframe motion. These techniques can help make your scene appear more real, and save otherwise unusable footage.

Multi-Layered Keys and Rotoscoping
Even the best green screen footage can present issues that can't be corrected with standard keying procedures. Whether it's a particular movement in the scene or rough lighting, sometimes you'll need to use alternative methods to isolate your subject from the background. In this segment we demonstrate multi-layered keys, and how to use masks to rotoscope your subject. These advanced methods and can help you get difficult green screen footage looking good.

Fixing Uneven Lighting and Unwanted Objects for Green Screen
We've all seen the tutorials that show you a one click process to pull a beautiful key. But many times, the lighting on the green screen shot you're working with isn't lit perfectly, and has objects in the shot that you don't want. In this segment, we show you how to remove unwanted objects from your footage, and key out a background that has uneven lighting. Knowing how to fix these issues is the starting point to pulling a great key, even when the footage presents a challenge.

Pluralsight – SOLIDWORKS Essentials – Basic Part Modeling

0
0
We are going to start modeling a sample part, but we need to learn the basics of starting a part, starting a sketch, and what entities we can sketch. When we are sketching, we need to learn about relationships and how dimensioning can help us go from an under defined sketch to a fully defined sketch. We will have features that add material and remove material. Once we are done, we will look at creating a 2D drawing with a front, top, right and isometric view.

SVS - Creative Composition

This class is the medicine you need whether you know it or not. This is the prescription that will make you better, the exercise that will make you faster, the vegetables, the antioxidants of art. Most beginning artists don’t know they need it or find it difficult and skip it to the detriment of their art.

Making a great illustration requires good drawing and rendering skills, BUT, many don’t realize that there’s a preliminary process that MUST take place first. Composing the image is essential to creating a beautiful painting, illustration, graphic novel image, comic panel, or book cover image. Drawing characters, objects and environments accurately and in proportion is a good foundation to making a great image but it’s only part of what you need. Putting everything together to create a complete image with effective eye movements, balance, focal points, legibility, and communication requires good design skills.

You will learn

the 4 principles of design
how to apply these principles in planning your image
how to make your images more legible
how to make complex images look simple
how to create a hierarchy of focal points
methods of working up from a thumbnail sketch to finished drawing

Throughout these lessons, we will take a comprehensive look at how you can efficiently use AOVs and Renderpasses to create believable composites.
Throughout these lessons, we will take a comprehensive look at how you can efficiently use AOVs and Renderpasses to create believable composites. We will start with a general overview of the most commonly used AOVs and Renderpasses and get a thorough understanding of what they are and how they work. We will then quickly dive into more advanced techniques by putting a big focus on troubleshooting and problem solving. Eventually, we will apply the techniques we learned on a small exercise to integrate an old and rusty CG car into a filmed plate.

Bloom 1.0.285 Win

Bloom is a fast, light-weight, cross-platform procedural graphics editor that lets you tweak any action you have ever performed - organized by layer. Beautifying images is a somewhat common practice, but you need to have the right tools at hand if you want to optimize your work. Bloom is an OS X image processor that works with multiple layers in order to provide non-destructive processing solutions. This way, you can make use of the plethora of available tools while knowing that you can adjust their effect later on without having to redo the entire process.
- Bloom seamlessly integrates both vector and raster editing, automatically converting between the two as necessary. This not only makes it extremely versatile and suitable for any taks from interface design to photo retouching, but also lets you apply purely raster effects and filters to vector shapes without losing any vector data.
- Bloom is the first editor to allow true non-destructive editing. Every filter, effect, brush stroke or vector edit you apply is stored separately, and nothing is baked in. This allows you to come back to anything you've done in the past and adjust it - without redoing all of the subsequent work. Even brush strokes are editable after you've drawn them!
- Bloom is a purely 16-bit per channel application. Everything, including images, shape colors, masks, and any other color data is stored with 16 bits per channel. This means you never lose precision and color accuracy, allowing for the most vibrant and precise images to be created.
- Unlike many other apps that claim to import Adobe Photoshop PSD file, yet import minimal information, Bloom imports practically everything. Not only does Bloom's PSD importer support layers and groups, it also imports masks on both of them, layer blending modes, and even layer blending effects - on both layers and groups!
- Bloom features a full suite of blending effects, including drop shadows, inner and outer glows, stroking, inner shadows, and bevelling. These versatile effects allow you to easily edit layer shapes without changing layer style, as well as help with compatibility with other applications.
- Bloom features excellent digital tablet support, recoginizing the drawing vs. the eraser tip of the brush, pen pressure, and scene scrolling with the digital pen alone. Brush settings also support ability to control aspects such as opacity, size, and any other setting with pen pressure - all customizable by you.

DynCreator for DazStudio

DynCreator for DazStudio transform any prop into a "dynamic cloth" compatible with the Optitex dynamic cloth plugin present into DazStudio.

DazStudio already has a plugin to use Dynamic Cloth. But this plugin is only compatible with Optitex based Dynamic clothing. So, except if you already have a Optitex cloth, you cannot use dynamic cloth with DazStudio. And unless you buy the expensive Optitex tool to create your own dynamic clothes, you cannot create dynamic clothing compatible with DazStudio. What is really annoying.

Now, with this script, you are able to create your own dynamic cloth for DazStudio. You only need to have your cloth or your fabric imported as a prop. run the script, and your prop will be compatible with Optitex dynamic cloth plugin.

You can use this script:
* To create yourself a dynamic cloth or a dynamic prop
* To convert a Poser dynamic cloth to a DazStudio dynamic cloth
* To convert a conforming cloth into a dynamic cloth (can required some competences in 3D modeling)

MODELING WITH MODIFIERS
In a more traditional modeling workflow we spend a lot of time adding, removing, and tweaking the vertices and edges that make up our model. Typically this is done with various mesh modeling tools, but modifiers give you the power to work in a less-destructive manner, with more flexibility and speed.

Multi-Camera Video Production and Post
Size: 3.16GB | Duration: 3h 56m | Video: AVC (.mp4) 1280x720 30fps | Audio: AAC 48KHz 2ch
Genre: eLearning | Level: Appropriate for all | Language: English

A multicamera setup is the next big step in video production. Multicam helps you record different angles simultaneously and shoot scenes much faster than with a single camera. It requires great planning and lighting to make sure the footage from each camera matches, but what you can't control on location you can usually correct in post. In this course, Rich Harrington and James Ball show how to organize and run multicamera video productions, and use tools such as Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro to fine-tune the results.
You'll learn essential preproduction strategies to get the right gear and place it in the right position. You'll also learn techniques for syncing the visuals and audio captured from each camera. Rich and James offer advice for directors running shoots in the field, as well as strategies for crew members who are building sets and logging footage. Finally, in chapters 7 and 8, they share techniques for multicamera postproduction with Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro. In these chapters, you'll learn how to create multicam clips, apply color correction, color match angles, switch between angles, and refine and master your edit. By the end of the course, you'll have a thorough start-to-finish understanding of the multicamera production process.

Topics include:

* Planning the multicamera production
* Evaluating the location
* Creating camera diagrams
* Selecting the right equipment
* Communicating with crew
* Lighting multicam productions
* Matching and syncing cameras
* Directing a multicamera shoot
* Editing multicamera video

Motion Boutique Connect Layers - Create rope, spanning tree and triangulation in a single click! This After Effects script connects the selected layers with segments or triangles created with shape layers. Select the layers you want to connect and click a button. Done!

Rope: Creates a single shape layer with a path connecting the selected layers (2D only). Use AutoBezier or Tension options to get rounded joint style.

Spanning Tree: Computes minimum spanning tree and draws each edge with a shape layer (2D and 3D support).

Triangulation: Triangulates the selected layers and draws each edge with a shape layer (2D and 3D support). If you want filled triangles (not just the edges), activate the Fill Triangles switch in the Options dialog. By default they will be filled with the same color, but you can also choose a source layer to colorize them. Note that for functions that create shape keyframes (Triangulation with Filled Triangles turned on, and Rope), keyframing is done within the comp work area.

Connect Layers was originally created to visualize Newton2 joints but as you will see, it can do much more.
