ZBrush 4R8 P1 (Mac)

How to install on OSX:

1. First you need to do a clean install of 4R7 P3 (installed included)
2. Don’t open jsut installed ZZbrush
3. Extract ZBrush_Upgrade.app from the included ZBrush_4R8_Upgrade.zip into the fresh installed 4R7 directory. (/Applicaions/ZBrushOSX 4R7)
4. Run ZBrush_Upgrade.app from that folder. It will upgrade 4R7P3 to 4R8 and will create a new directory called ZBrushOSX 4R8 in your Applications. Again do not open the app after install.
5. Now extract another ZBrush_Upgrade.app from the included 4R8_P1_updater.tar file into the ZBrushOSX 4R8 directory.
6. Run that ZBrush_Upgrade.app. It will update 4R8 to 4R8 P1, don’t run the app after update just yet.
7. Go to Applications/ZBrushOSX 4R8/ find file called ZBrush.app. Right click on it and select “Show Package Content”. Then open /Contents/MacOS
8. Replace ZBrush with the included ZBrush file.
9. Now close it and run ZBrush. Should work now! Enjoy!

Now, over 200 years later, Riccardo Olocco and Jonathan Pierini are reinterpreting Bodoni's work for modern use. Their Parmigiano Typographic System (named after Parma, the city where Bodoni established his printing house) has the stated ambition to be the most extensive family of fonts ever to have been inspired by Giambattista Bodoni. Their biggest challenge was to create coherent relationships between various optical sizes (Piccolo, Caption, Text, Headline) and weights, something that Bodoni himself didn’t concern himself with much.

Parmigiano Caption was conceived to accompany Parmigiano Text for setting secondary texts such as captions and footnotes. Parmigiano Caption guarantees superb readability and consistent quality in print at sizes smaller than 10 points, completing the Parmigiano family and making it perfect for work with complex texts in several sizes.
Parmigiano Headline is the group leader, the posh and self-confident cut of the family. Of all the other styles of the family it is the closest to Bodoni’s original designs and has the most contrast. It also features smaller bowls as well as delicate and subtly refined shapes. Its generous ascenders add elegance, and its narrow proportions balanced by round letterforms make it a space-saver. Parmigiano Piccolo may at first seem utterly foreign to Bodoni’s design principles, and its thick-set, ungraceful design would seem to belong to another family. Although it shares the same structure as the other cuts of the system, Parmigiano Piccolo is closer to the Scotch Roman models of the early 1800s, with their reduced contrast, shorter ascenders and descenders, and rather narrow proportions. And just as the Scotch Romans were the outcome of commercial considerations, Parmigiano Piccolo focuses on practicality and legibility. Although its features set it apart from the elegant refinement of the rest of the Parmigiano family, it is the one to trust in critical conditions. Thanks to its reduced contrast and strong serifs, it is the perfect choice when the texture of the paper or the quality of printing threaten your text, or when you are looking for a deliberate touch of roughness.
Parmigiano Text has a delicacy which contrasts with the Piccolo version and it is more solid than the Headline cut. Highly versatile, it is an ideal choice for setting magazines, books or any other long texts whose contents need to be easily accessible. Designed for smooth readability, its sharp and elegant letterforms make for a comfortable, relaxed reading experience, while its thin, horizontal serifs, vertical axes and the round terminations on certain lowercase letters give it a thoroughly contemporary feel.

its really not so easy to select/zoom/rotate/locate reference images while 3d modeling.
in Referencetool, its easy.

select/zoom/rotate/pan picture is easy, no waste space,
very useful for 3d modelers while modeling in any 3d kind of application. Features:
1- Fast Selecting Reference Picture.
2- Ghost Mode Functionality.
3- Zoom / Flip / Pan / Rotate On the Fly.
4- Drag Drop From Web Browsers / Multiple files from local pictures.
its resizable in all corners of window so you can stretch, fit

double click works similar to photoshop. by the way you can open reference picture. hold spacebar to move window. greater less keybutton to toggle the window:from active to ghost, ghost to hide, hide to active again.

left and right key buttons to flip picture. or right mouse button flips reference picture too. mousewhell for zoom in and out.

middle mouse to reset position, zoom and rotation. control + mousewhell or control + mouse drag you can rotate.
