Arnold is an unbiased, physically based, ray tracing 3D rendering engine. It is the default complex rendering engine that comes along with 3ds Max 2018, and it is one of the most used engines in major productions like Gravity, Elysium, Pacific Rim, Alice in Wonderland, and many others. It excels itself in achieving reliable, good looking, realistic results rather quickly, which can give the user time to spend improving the actual scene, rather than tweaking its settings. Learning the fundamentals of this engine is the first step into fully understanding how it works, which can be a very useful skill to master. In this course, Fundamentals of Arnold for 3ds Max, you'll learn all the fundamental concepts behind rendering with Arnold, making it possible for you to achieve reliable, good looking, realistic results rather quickly. First, you'll explore how to light scenes with Arnold. Next, you'll discover how to create realistic materials and how to render basic effects. Finally, you'll get a better understanding of Arnold's render settings. By the end of this course, you'll know all the basic concepts within Arnold, and will be able to begin creating complex realistic scenes on your own. Software required: 3ds Max 2018.

With so many different interior design styles available today, do you find yourself getting overwhelmed and unsure of how to choose a style or pull off a style well in your own home? It becomes even more complicated when you want to mix different interior design styles but are unsure of how to do that so it looks fabulous and well pulled together, instead of flat out chaotic.

To that end, this course has been created to help you understand the defining characteristics of 18 different popular interior design styles today so that you can either create one of those styles in your own home or learn how to easily and effectively mix different styles on your own.

This course will go fairly deeply into 18 different and distinct interior design styles in areas that include:

Defining furniture characteristics
Common materials used in each style
Appropriate color schemes and patterns for each style
Window and floor covering options for each style
Lighting, artwork and accessories appropriate to each style
Retailers that carry furnishings for each particular style
We will also spend an entire section focused solely on how to mix styles well using a simple, formulaic approach. You will learn how to do this both through a lecture approach as well as listening to 2 real life case studies.

Finally, after each style section, you will have an opportunity to take a style quiz to help you find out which interior design styles are best suited to you based on your preferences.

This course is a great choice for anyone wanting to learn more about different interior design styles and how to mix them successfully on their own, and for interior designers who want to brush up their skills on different interior design styles.

Join me for a exciting journey into the world of interior design styles!

3DMotive - Roof Shader in Substance Volume 1

Duration 1h 2m With Project Files MP4

In Roof Shader in Substance Designer tutorial we will go over on how to create a roof texture using 3ds Max, Zbrush and substance designer. We will first create our low poly tiles in 3ds Max, after that we will go into Zbrush and sculpt a few variations of our tiles, before adding some nice damage and then optimizing it so that we can export it back to 3ds Max. Back in 3ds Max we will setup out texture so that it will tile perfectly and so that it has a lot of vatiation in size, rotation, and shape. We will also make everything ready for baking like assigning different materials for the color map. Once that is all done we will set up a baker scene in Marmoset Toolbag 3 and bake out all our texture maps in using their new baker. When all the baked maps look good we will then move into Substance Designer where we will start creating our final texture maps. We will first improve the normal map with smaller details and then create our final albedo, roughness, and mattalic map. We will wrap things up with a final polish over the entire texture and render the final texture in Marmoset Toolbag 3.

Udemy – 2D Animation With No Drawing Skills in AE

$

Requirements:

- You don't have to know anything, this is a STARTER. But some experience in After Effects helps.

This course is divided in 3 parts:

- Theory (Secrets to do awesome animation with no drawing skills, and how to make interesting characters no matter how simple they look).
- Rigging (A series of tutorials that teaches you how to rig a character step by step).
- Animation (Another series of tutorials that teaches you how to animate body language for simple characters).

There are a couple of things you need to understand to achieve simple animations:

- Shapes
- Body Language
- Emotional Expression
- Character Relationships
- What makes a good story

And for your character, you only need a Body, Arms, Legs and a Mouth. Eyes are optional.

If a simple circle has personality, people will watch it.

Our personal purpose is to help anyone interested in Animation to start practicing with little projects, simple Characters, and most of all, explore the expressiveness of their Body Language and Character Acting.

Many people seldom to start learning 2D animation because they are convinced that you need to know how to draw.

While drawing skills can help you to improve, that is not the essential skill to do animation. For animation you need to understand the most basic principles in animation, like timing, anticipation, pose to pose.

Concepts that Thomas and Johnson, 2 of the animation masters in Disney talk about in their famous book, Illusion of Life.

This course puts those basic concepts into practice and also explains step by step how to achieve great body language when a character is talking.

What you will get:

- Lifetime Access to all the Lessons: This is not a membership course. We offer a 1 time payment to have full access to all the lessons, and if you claim your spot, you will have everything for free.

- Downloadable Project Files: You can download the project files to follow along with the tutorials and practice on your own. Heck! You can even skip the Theory and start with Animation!

- Access to Student Discussions: In here you will be able to share any ideas or projects you are currently working on with other fellow students, and even ask for help when needed.

- Step by Step In Depth Explanations: The course covers everything from Theory to Practice. You will learn how to set up your characters and why; with tutorials to help you animate them.

- Printable Workbooks: Thanks to all the feedback from all the students in our other courses, we decided to add Practical Guides that will help you set your characters easier.
