After creating a new project in Unreal Engine, create a \Plugins directory and extract the archive for the UE version you want to use into it. The archives already contain a \HammUEr directory, so you just need to "Extract Here".

Then, open your project in UE, and if it doesn't automatically open the HammUEr window and add a HammUEr icon next to settings in your toolbar, go to Edit/Plugins and then down in the Project section, enable HammUEr.



Note that if you use the sample materials, you need to check to see if they're all right. Open them up and check for errors before trying to import anything, or check your log for https://itch.io/post/184500 if you've already tried and get no materials at all in your master material list.


Note when importing your Source models: some .vtx files are, for lack of a better word, corrupted and don't match the checksum. In cases where a model is "missing", keep only the <modelname>.dx90.vtx file and delete the <modelname>.vtx file and try re-importing.
