3DMotive - Introduction To Materials in Unreal Engine 4 Volume 1

0
0
This Materials in Unreal Engine 4 course will give you a thorough understanding of creating materials inside of the UE4 engine. Starting with the basics and getting to know the interface and understanding the different types of materials is going to be what we discuss in Volume one. With topics such as the UE4 Material interface where we will look into the interface. Material types where we will look at the types of materials you can create using the engine. PBR Material overview to have a quick discussion on what physically based materials are. The material blends and domains and find out the differences between each one. Then going to talk about the shading models that we will create during the course. The last part of volume one will be a more intermediate level of creating a computer screen with different components and even creating a material function. Volume 2 will go over just materials, where we will firstly look at creating a basic skin shader and understand what subsurface scattering is. The second material will be a car material which will use the clear coat model and look at creating material attributes. We will then make an ocean shader and then lastly create a slightly advanced material where we will create a dynamic material there has a weather like function to it with snow, rain and dryness. I hope you enjoy the course and learn a lot from it.

JoeAlter Shave and a Haircut 9.0v36 – 2014-2016 – WIN

Most all of Shave’s parameters respond to texture maps, (including dynamics properties). This can be very useful for increasing realism.
They also respond to solid textures.Included in this video is also an overview of various Shave parameter settings. There are no shader networks to create or attach, just dial the params and assign texture like any other Maya surface.

In addition to supporting various renders like Vray, Renderman, Mentalray and Arnold, which all have hair primitives, we also support the Maya render, which has no hair primitives. To do this we’ve written our own advanced multi-threaded render which we integrate with your maya scene’s own buffers automatically.
We also do some pretty cool stuff with voxels for the other renders which lets you render millions and millions of hairs with far less memory.

Lumion is a powerful tool for architects, landscape architects and other designers and is making its way into more and more studios and offices. The ease of the interface and workflow within this software along with the ability to make 3D models from a variety of software programs look fantastic makes Lumion great resource to have.

While almost anyone can pick up Lumion and learn the basics, there are also more advanced techniques that some users aren't even aware of. In Lumion for Architects we approach this software with the expectation that you will learn the basics along with a few tricks that will really take your renders and animations to the next level including the grid technique that allows construction phasing and other animations, time lapse videos and how to use advanced move for technical animations.

One of the best parts about this course is that the 3D models are available as part of the course work. You can join Sam step-by-step as you assemble the same museum that you will see in the instructional videos and he even shows you how you can show off your final render with the world.

While this course is designed with an architect in mind, it will be valuable for anyone trying to get the most out of Lumion. As a matter of fact, while Sam owns his own 3D visualization studio, he is an engineer by trade rather than an architect. (If you are an architect, no hard feelings... right?)

We look forward to you joining us in Lumion for Architects!

What are the requirements?

Have access to Lumion or Lumion Pro
Have access to Sketchup Make (Free) or Sketchup Pro
