In the first module of this course, we will begin by learning how to breakdown a piece of reference to a more manageable state we can work from. Once we understand what is required of us to complete the piece we will start creating the base of a ceiling rose followed by the outer trim sections of the ceiling rose. When creating the trim sections, you will learn how to create both simple and complex modular tiling shapes which will add an extra level of detail and intricacy to the ceiling rose with very little effort. From there, we will be looking at the more detailed shapes. Using our broken down reference, I will show you how to create each piece used to create the ceiling rose. We will start with the simpler shapes just using 3DS Max box modeling and deformation techniques and then move onto more complex shapes later on. Once we have our shapes completed we will add final adjustments and polish to each piece in Zbrush to give it the hand crafted plaster look we are aiming for. As we wrap things up in module 3, we will take the parts we have made and kit bash them together to create the large shapes shown in the reference. After all shapes are complete, we can start deforming them to fit the base ceiling rose we created in module one which will leave us with the completed model. Finally, we will take the model into Zbrush to create a final singular mesh version using masking and deformation techniques and add damage to the model using a custom brush set.

AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION
Step 1: Download and install ZXP Installer from this site: http://zxpinstaller.com/
Step 2: Open ZXP Installer and select the downloaded Magic Retouch Pro zxp file from Automatic Installation folder.
Step 3: Launch Photoshop and goto Windows>Extensions>MagicRetouchPro.
Step 4: Open Retouch Preset in Photoshop from Retouch Preset Folder.

MANUAL INSTALLATION
In case you are having difficulties using the automatic mehtod you can install it by using the manual method below.
Step 1: Open the Manual Installtion folder form the Magic Retouch Pro package which you downloaded.
Step 2: Copy MagicRetouchPro folder from Manual Installation folder and paste it to the folowing directory

Windows 64:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\
Windows 32:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\
If the Adobe\CEP\extensions folder does not exist, you can create it.

Relaunch Photoshop and goto Windows>Extension>MagicRetouchPro

OSX

Step 1: Open folder /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/ or you can open this folder via terminal by entering "open/Library/Application\Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/" command without quotes.
Step 2: Navigate to downlaoded Magic Retouch Pro folder than goto Plug-In>Manual Installation and copy folder MagicRetouchPro and paste it in /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/ folder.
Step 3: Relaunch Photoshop and goto Window>Extension>MagicReotuchPro

Autodesk Fabrication CadMEP will be discontinued for 2018. All the suites will be superseded by 'Industry Collections'. Fabrication will need to be purchased seprately. This includes all the Fabrication software, Navisworks Manage, Revit, Point Layout. Enjoy!

This addon ​automatically outputs the Object, Shadow, Reflection and AO passes from your render, organising them into convenient folders. This works perfectly for single frames, and even whole animations, allowing you to drag these image sequences straight into your compositing software of choice (such as After Effects) and work with them as clips. ​No render layers and exclusions, ​no multiple renders of the same scene, ​no​ having to create folders, no hassel… just setup your scene, and the addon does the rest for you! This addon is designed for time and convenience, so you can focus on what you do best- creating art! Environment Shadow Passes!

The standard “Shadow Pass” output for Blender ​only gives you the shadows cast by lamps within your scene. It ​doesn’t, however, give you any of the shadows cast by HDR environment maps! I use HDR maps for all my projects; they add natural lighting and reflections to your scene which instantly improve the overall quality and realism of your renders. This addon takes care of that issue; it captures the shadows cast by both the Environment maps and the Lamps in your scene!​
